Feeling the chill of the declining temperature, Hilary Duff was spotted on her way into Roundabout Sound Studio in Hollywood earlier today. The “Lizzie McGuire” babe kept warm with a brown sweater teamed with a massive grey scarf, slim fit jeans, and black high-heeled shoes.
Duff recently signed a one-year development deal with NBC Networks that will allow her to have her own series, as well as appear in other NBC shows. Though the finer details are not yet nailed down, it sounds like this move could really take Hilary’s career to the next level. Executive Vice President of NBC Teri Weinberg told press that she was “an incredibly versatile talent with a huge following.”

Enjoying a midday shopping outing, Hilary Duff was spotted out combing the racks at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills on Monday (November 24). Sporting a big smile on her face after finishing up inside, the “Foodfight!” starlet looked cute in a purple top with jeans and a black scarf as she made her way to her parked Mercedes SUV. In related news, Miss Duff, who’s dating NHL star Mike Comrie, recently confessed that she’s taken a liking to “Twilight”hunk Robert Pattinson. “I told my boyfriend, I was like, ‘Edward Cullen… I mean, find me a vampire, you might be done…!’ He’s handsome,” Duff told press.

Treating herself to a little personal pampering, Hilary Duff was spotted reading a script while getting her toenails done at the Venus Nails salon in Toluca Lake. Touching up on her look, the former “Lizzie McGuire” starlet was back at it again yesterday, trying to hide her disheveled hairdo as she ventured into the Jose Neira Salon near her house. Duff, who recently announced the signing of a development deal with NBC, joked with MTV News, “I get to call the shots. I would like to do something funny … or I would like to kick a** or something.” Continuing to explain that she may get to appear on current NBC projects, Duff tells, “I would love to do something on The Office. 30 Rock is great – very funny. Many people have done lots of guest spots on it this season.”

She’s been a staple in the teen/tween entertainment diet ever since her days on “Lizzie McGuire.” And last night Hilary Duff helped say goodbye to another mainstay of young people all over the world - MTV’s Total Request Live. The “So Yesterday” singer stopped by the “Total Finale Live” shindig at MTV’s Times Square Studios, joining the likes of Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, and Mr. TRL himself, Carson Daly.
And of course, Miss Duff stole the show with her sexy ensemble, sporting a black belted minidress complete with a long black sheer see-through overlay and black heels. Of her new single “Reach Out” (from her greatest hits album), Hilary told press, “It’s different for me. It’s a little dancey, and there’s a rapper named Prophet who’s on it who’s really cool and kinda fresh.”

Hilary Duff is returning to TV, signing a pact with NBC to star in a new series. Under terms of the one-year talent and development deal, Peacock will develop a show starring Duff; thesp will also be tapped to guest star in various current NBC shows. The Duff series would be produced by Universal Media Studios. Deal was announced by NBC Entertainment/ Universal Media Studios co-chairman Ben Silverman. Duff will meet with writers and comb through the Peacock’s development for the right project to star in. Duff starred in a 2004 CBS pilot that wasn’t picked up to series; since then, she’s focused on her music and movie careers. The actress starred in this year’s “War, Inc.,” and will next be seen in the 2009 features “Safety Glass,” “Stay Cool” and “Greta.” She first rose to fame as the star of the Disney Channel’s “Lizzie McGuire” (which later spawned “The Lizzie McGuire Movie”). She then appeared in features such as “Agent Cody Banks,” “Cheaper by the Dozen” and “Raise Your Voice.” In signing Duff, NBC Entertainment exec VP Teri Weinberg cited the thesp’s “huge following” and versatility as a young talent.

With the hockey season back on, Hilary Duff and her New York Islanders star boyfriend Mike Comrie are once again doing their best to juggle two very busy schedules. The cute couple was spotted arriving to a hotel in Manhattan, New York on Sunday evening (November 9), with Hilary carrying two puppies in her black bag. Ready to take care of promotional duties, Hilary is readying for the release of her “Best Of” album - which hits stores on November 11th. Meanwhile, Comrie and his Islanders team play the Philadelphia Flyers at home on Tuesday before jetting off to Ottawa for a Thursday night match-up.

The “So Yesterday” songstress was reportedly looking for some home furnishings at Lucca Antiques during her retail romp with mommy. As for her new single “Reach Out,” it seems the track is garnering quite a response due to the raciness of its video, though a censored version (less thumb-sucking, etc) has also been released to appease the more sensitive viewers. Miss Duff is most certainly looking forward to next Tuesday, November 11th when her greatest hits album hits stores and online retailers.
