In quite the cheerful mood, Hilary Duff was spotted paying a visit to Fred Segal store in Santa Monica, California on Tuesday. Carrying a big bouquet of flowers after spending some time inside the popular boutique, it’s thought that the “Cheaper By the Dozen” cutie was there for business purposes rather than shopping. The visit comes as Miss Duff has been delving into the world of fashion with a new jean line for DKNY called Femme. Talking to Nylon magazine about her designing endeavors, Hilary said, “We did two pairs of jeans this season-it’s kind of a selfish line, because it’s skinny jeans, which look the best on me. There’s other stuff, too, like little shrunken leather jackets. I wanted the stuff to be smart.” Explaining the source of her inspiration for the new clothes, Duff tells, “Just normal girls. I’ll be walking down the street and think, oh she looks cute! Especially being in New York is nice, because everyone has such unique styles.”
Continuing to do her part for charity, Hilary Duff and boyfriend Mike Comrie took part in the Gay Men’s Health Crisis’ AIDS Walk in Central Park on Sunday. Acting as co-host, the “Cheaper By the Dozen” cutie spoke to the crowd before beginning the walking duties with her “Hilary Duff – Walk with Love” team.
Prior to the event, Miss Duff spoke about the importance of continuing with AIDS awareness initiatives, saying: “We have a responsibility to educate young people about HIV/AIDS. So when I hear about how more young people are getting HIV because they don’t understand the risks of infection, it just seems so tragic and avoidable.” Meanwhile, GMHC Director of Special Events, Kenneth Cox, told Outtake: “The epidemic has been around for some 27 some odd years and statistics are showing us that the attention that people are paying to AIDS is falling from about 34% awareness five years ago to, I think a shocking number, of 14% today.”
Taking care of the day’s duties before kicking off the weekend, Hilary Duff was spotted fitting in a little grocery shopping after her gym session on Friday. A few hours after her private training and grocery stop, the former “Lizzie McGuire” star changed outfits, looking sexy in her stiletto shoes as she headed over to Trader Joe’s for a little more shopping. In related news, Miss Duff recently unveiled a brand new ink job during a red carpet appearance earlier this week - as she got an ankle tattoo with the words “Let it be”. Better yet, it seems that the former Disney star’s generous ways have rubbed off on boyfriend Mike Comrie. “Before dating Hilary, Mike was tipping the regular 15 percent,” the friend says. “Now he’s up to 50 percent!”

Hilary confessed, “I’m the crazy lady sitting in the crowd screaming my head off.” She’s also a big fan of Mike. “I’ve never met anyone who can say a bad word about him. He’s generous, caring, and sunny. We just laugh our heads off.”
